FAQs
Here are several questions my students have asked me over the years.
-
Are your courses written using AI?
No, they are all written from my own personal experiences of the subjects (although I do admit that I use a spelling and grammar checker, LOL).
-
Do I have to pay the entire fee at the time of booking?
No (unless you have a very last-minute booking). However, I do ask for a non-refundable deposit, and the balance will then be due two weeks before the first session (for further information, please check the booking and cancellation details for each course).
-
I can't see a booking section on your website.
I do not have a booking page as my dates fill up so quickly. If you are interested in training with me, just drop me a line or give me a call, and we can go through all the date options. Once you have chosen a date, I will email you with the payment details for the deposit (for further information, please check the booking and cancellation details for each course).
-
I don't know which course to start with. Can I discuss it with you before I choose?
Yes, of course you can, either email me or give me a ring.
-
Can I pay by credit card?
Whilst I prefer bank transfer, yes, you can. Request a PayPal invoice from me, and I will forward one to you. Paying via a PayPal invoice lets you pay by credit card.

Surely, it's cheaper for me just to download a course from someone.
Yes, in most cases it is; however, many (if not most) online courses nowadays are written by AI. This can cause issues with ethics, practice, and often with incorrect knowledge of the subject in question. There ARE some excellent downloadable courses out there, and I would say there is nothing wrong with backing up your training with one or more of them. You never stop learning, and I always tell my students to add to their training by drawing on other tutors' experiences and knowledge.
I also offer ongoing support, not just during the course, but also afterwards. Plus, in a 1-2-1, you can ask as many questions as you like. I will be there to guide you to find the best possible version of you.

I see some of your courses are available via Zoom. Can I learn Reiki this way?
As I teach traditional Reiki, part of the Usui Shiki Ryoho system, all attunements must be carried out in person; in fact, many Reiki associations will not accept you as a member if you have not received your attunements in person (or indeed, if you become a Reiki Master and you carry out attunements this way). However, I can offer part Zoom/part in-person training, as each Reiki level comprises verbal discussion. The Attunements, along with the physical tuition, such as hand positions and practice, will still be carried out in person to ensure you receive the best possible training. If this is of interest, contact me to discuss the logistics.

I've noticed that the psychic development course can be conducted via Zoom. I see other tutors offer this, but only with subjects that do not utilise physical tools. How can you cover your course subjects if you need tools to practice with… or do you just talk about them?
When you book a psychic development course with me, I give you a list of items to enable you to prepare for each session – most of which you probably already have at home. However, even if you don't, I encourage you to obtain any items you don't have so you can continue practising after the course ends. None of the items are expensive, but they will assist in your long-term development (and you can never have too many crystal balls or pendulums!)

I live in another part of the country, but would still prefer to learn in person with you. Do you offer accommodation?
I am unable to offer accommodation; however, as East Devon is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are many places you can stay in and around Honiton. I have students from all over the country, and beyond, and they often choose to make a holiday of the time down here. Some even come with their family, leave their children with their partner while they train, and treat it as a well-earned rest!

How can you do a tarot reading by Zoom? I want to see the cards.
I have two cameras set up. One is directed at me, the other at the layout itself, so you can not only see the layout yourself, but watch me shuffle the cards so you know they are your cards, not a pre-planned set.
-
In a tarot reading, will you tell me if I am going to die?
No! In fact, I am a firm believer in ethics and will not conduct readings on health. If you are concerned about your health, then I will suggest to you to contact a GP or specialist. Also, Reiki healers, are prohibited to give a diagnoses and, as a Reiki Master, it is also essential I keep to this philosophy.

How often do you run workshops? I prefer to work in a group.
